Job Overview
Reporting to the Art Manager the Animator II will join our team-oriented group of creative people in the Game Design Department. The ideal candidate will be required to work with a group of 3D/2D Artists, Technical Artists, and Engineers to create the next highly-engaging and innovative slot games from start to finish. The candidate will also be required to accurately model, texture, rig, skin and animate complex 3D characters and objects for both real-time and pre-rendered games.
Responsibilities
- Creating fluid 3D character animation and 3D art assets based on 2d concept art, from modeling, texturing, to animation, compositing, and effects in Maya
- Creating immersive 2D animations and applying visual and particle effects, using After Effects.
- Contributing to process improvements to increase productivity and the visual quality of the games.
- Ability to meet deadlines for multiple projects simultaneously and be flexible to the ever-changing environment of a fast-growing company.
Skills/Requirements
- Portfolio required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Media Art and Animation or equivalent work experience.
- 3D Artist/Animator with 3-5 years of professional experience preferred in creating 3D assets and visual effects.
- Exceptional knowledge of traditional 2D animation
- Excellent knowledge of design basics (lighting, composition, perspective, texturing, colors, etc.)
- Take 2D character and environment concepts into animated 3D/2D game assets.
- Ability to accurately rig complex 2d/3d characters and write scripts for ease of animation.
- Create fluid and natural character animation that demonstrate understanding of physical motion, weight, balance, and form.
- Ability to work with different artistic styles.
- Experience in making presentations.
- Excellent communication skills and organizational skills.
- Render farm knowledge
- Ability to give and take constructive feedback.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Proficient in Autodesk Maya and After Effects.
- Unity knowledge.

- 3D Studio Max
- Adobe Suite (After Effects, Photoshop)
